Ontwikkelings op onderwysgebied en finansiële druk bring streng eise en lei tot ‘n intensiewe herstruktureing oor die hele spektrum. Personeelvermindering, hervorming van onderrigmetodes en die eis van uitnemendheid intensifiseer die akademiese bedryf.
