Abstract

Marriage and sexuality in a postmodern society

The focus of the article is on the concepts marriage and sexuality against the background of changing paradigms. It shows how perseptions on marriage and sexuality has changed as it manifested and still manifests in premodern, modern and postmodern times. The article argues that it is possible that aspects of recent reflections on the postmodern way of thinking can help the church and Christians to come to a more balanced appreciation of marriage and sexuality.
