On the New Testament, narratology and preaching
In this essay, which was originally prepared for a seminar on preaching at the Rand Afrikaans University, implications of the narrative character of a major part of the New Testament are discussed. In the first part, which deals with the New Testament and narratology, attention is paid to various aspects relating to the interpretation of New Testament narrative material. The second part of the essay deals with the problems involved in the preaching of narrative material.
