Modalities in the Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk van Afrika?. In view 'of recent suggestions that opposing theological modalities could develop in the Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk van Afrika, the purpose of this paper is to consider the consequences of such a development. This is done by an short historical excursion into an existing example of modalities within the boundaries of the same church, namely the Hervormde Kerk in the Netherlands.
